"Un musée de grande qualité qui contient des peintures impressionnistes et postimpressionnistes dont des oeuvres de Renoir, Degas et Picasso. Très belle collection également de peintres américains du XIX e siècle, avec notamment John Singer Sargent et surtout Winslow Homer. D'ailleurs, le musée entretient une relation particulière avec ce dernier peintre, car il gère, depuis 2013, la visite du Homer Studio, à Prout's Neck sur Cape Elizabeth. Toutes les visites sont guidées et partent du Portland Museum of Art - on vous emmène là-bas en navette."
