Echoing the geometry of this historic building, checkerboard motifs run everywhere on Lombardy marble floors, on tinted mirror ceilings or on carpets in corridors and bedrooms. Cassina's artistic director has a very sharp sense of chromia, masterfully handled on all floors and particularly at the Italian restaurant Etereo where she combines an amber pink with an olive green and a raspberry red ceiling... Icing on the roof: the pool heated all year round and its panoramic view of the city (photo previous page). Furiously glamorous, the address in the heart of the vibrant Brera district and near the Scala theater also displays a beautiful collection of works of art, including an impressive photo of Tim Walker illustrating Milan's major role in the fields of design, fashion, art and architecture."
