"Room Gorley Room pretty average but bathroom really small with shower in bath that only came up to my shoulder so had to bend over to wash hair. Tiling pretty shabby as well. Not 5 star. Nice enough grounds and the bar pretty sterile but expensive plus added service charge to every drink. Deb paid for Dinner but everything we had pretty much had a surcharge. Deb had Scallops (extra charge) followed by Pork Belly & Fillet (very nice) and Vanilla Brule. I had Lobster ( excessive surcharge) tiny bit of lobster in a broth very tasty but small, Fillet steak (surcharge), very good and cheese (surcharge). Think Deb paid £315 for the room B&B – seriously over priced for what it was def not worth that. Dinner was prepaid £98 + £22 in surcharges. Surcharge plus wine and drinks came to £279 so nearly £700 – way over the top."
