"Follow the Russian River to its estuary and you’ll find Café Aquatica, a resting place for weary travelers and cyclists seeking provisions. Fuel up with a pour-over coffee or a turmeric latte paired with a crab sandwich, which competes with Bodega Bay favorite Spud Point Crab Company. Aquatica, however, has far nicer views, offering exclusively outdoor seating facing the majestic coast. Café Aquatica — whose name was inspired by a Wes Anderson movie — launched in 2007 and has been under Rachel Kulinski’s ownership since 2018; she reconfigured the menu, added booze and renovated the space with a windbreak, for those seeking to escape the coastal gusts.
