"The Prince was recently home to Red Bull Best Seat in the House, and hosted an episode of the always-excellent The Good, the Bad and the Rugby podcast. Features here include a huge retractable roof and atrium that brings the best of the outdoors, indoors, while communal tables and a big capacity help create a great match-day vibe. Although walk-ins are available on the day, you’d be wise to book beforehand."

From the outside, it may just seem like an unassuming Victorian pub but, on the inside, it’s a giant foodie hub that takes up almost an entire street, after developers merged a series of adjacent restaurants, and created an enormous beer garden shared between them all. And on April 12, it’ll reopen for another glorious summer season, after an enforced closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. The buzzing west London venue appears each year in the guise of a flower-filled English garden, and a dreamy one at that. And, as it’s from the team behind Lost in Brixton and Pergola Paddington – both of which are also returning on April 12 – you know it’s going to be a good ‘un. Crewing The Prince’s restaurant spaces this summer will be burger bosses Filth & Co, jerk legends Rudie’s Jerk Shack, and South American-inspired street food from Boludo. Libations take the form of Pimms, spritzes, prosecco, a seasonal cocktail menu, and beer on tap, and it all comes together in the covered English garden out back, featuring a retractable roof that’ll overcome anything the pesky British weather can throw at it. Draped with seasonal flowers and foliage, it’s a pretty magical setting for an evening session – or a daytime one, for that matter… Bookings are currently open, but with the rate spots across rooftop bars and outdoor spaces are being snapped up for the first week of lockdown easing, you’d be wise to hop on it soon or else try your luck with a walk-in. The perfect neighbourhood establishment. We took over four old buildings, and converted them into a row of restaurants. We then restored the faded Victorian boozer next door back to its former glory, providing access to all restaurants from the inside. Finally we turned the gardens into London’s biggest pub garden, complete with a clear retractable roof – making the venue fully adaptable come rain or shine!"
