"What if I told you that there is a beautiful pink castle in Belgium? I don’t know about you but just the thought of it made me very excited to see it for myself! You can find the Poeke Castle near Aalter, a municipality in the province of East Flanders. If you’re coming from Ghent it takes around 20 minutes by car to reach it. In 1977 the castle became the property of the municipality of Aalter and it’s surrounding park was declared a protected landscape in 1978. Opening hours – The park surrounding the castle is always free to visit. The castle itself can only be visited with a guide. If you wish to do so you have to make a reservation from before. The price for a guide is €25."
