"Vancouver's best-kept secret is located underneath a mattress store on Main Street. The Narrow has no signage, so you have to know it's there. Look for what appears to be a shady bus stop; If you see a red light on, the bar is open. Head through a metal door, walk down some sketchy stairs, and you'll find yourself in a beautiful, prohibition-style bar. The cocktails are classic, from G&Ts to cosmopolitans"

"Enter through the doorway on third Avenue, the red light tells you if it’s open or not, then send the graffiti line to stairway into one of Vancouver’s coolest small bars. Little bigger than a train carriage and lined with taxidermy and junk shop pictures, it’s not my spheric nook that always feels like 2 AM. In summer, tried a dinner alfresco bar outback. What’s your way through the craft beers and classical cocktails. "

"Non, vous n'êtes pas perdu : cette porte étroite avec pour seule enseigne une petite lanterne à l'ampoule rouge est bien l'entrée du Narrow Lounge, un bar caché, à la manière d'un speakeasy . On descend quelques marches dans un couloir tagué avant d'arriver dans ce bar à cocktails bien planqué. Lumière noire, grand comptoir et tabourets, on choisit sans hésiter leur fameux gin fizz à la lavande. Ambiance underground branchée."

There is virtually no signage or marketing for the Narrow Lounge, people just know where it is and know why to go. It’s small, quaint and has a great drink list full of craft beers. In the summer on sunny days, the Narrow Lounge grows to include The Hideaway, a hip tiki bar lounge located on a small patio. Open from 3pm – 10pm, The Hideaway features delicious summer themed cocktails to help you stay relaxed while soaking up the sun."
