"Spice Route showcases the journey of spices from Kerala’s Malabar Coast, all the way to Vietnam, through Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand. Its interiors are quite magnificent, with dining halls featuring exquisite antiques and paintings depicting the many countries along the spice route. The menu at Spice Route consists of Pan-Asian classics with lots of options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. Some of the best options here are the Thai-style lobster, which is stir fried with mushrooms and ginger, and the vermicelli payasam enriched with cashew nuts and raisins. "“The Spice Route” inside Imperial Hotel, had dinner there with Léa in 2023 after an aperitif at 1911 Bar. South East Asian fusion cuisine, mostly Thai with Indian influences, some nice spicy dishes. Just a fantastic moment, best restaurant we did in India. Quite elegant of course, but stepping inside is a sudden change of atmosphere from the rest of this wonderful hotel. Great ambiance & decoration, great service, incredible food & wines. Best time & totally recommended, has something Buddha Bar in better, more quiet of course."
