"Sometimes, you just need a body of water to clear your head. At Rye's Marshland Conservancy, you can live out those Walden dreams. Open from dawn to dusk, the conservancy’s three miles of hiking trails give visitors rare access to the microcosmic world of a salt marsh ecosystem. In addition to your hiking boots, be sure to bring your favorite travel camera to take pictures of the abundant flora and fauna gracing the sanctuary’s grounds, including white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, minks, and otters.
