Rue Léon Mignon 19

"Series of nine Liégeois Art Nouveau style houses, from No. 11 to No. 21, designed by architect Joseph Nusbaum at the beginning of the 20th century (dates uncertain). Each facade is different, both in terms of elevation and in the materials used. Not all of them have stood the test of time well, and some have been restored in a rather fanciful way. The one that caught our attention is number 19, with its imposing facade. Built on a base of sculpted hard stone, it is pierced by a large horseshoe arch window on a lintel carved with flowers and geometric motifs. The double-leaf entrance door is topped by a hard stone canopy decorated with two small sculpted heads. A third head adorns the semicircular arch of the transom. The same sculpted heads appear on the console which supports the loggia. Beautiful ironwork adorns several openings. The building deserves to be mentioned for its good state of maintenance."
