"Landman. There's this great little cafe called Mary's Cafe in Strawn, Texas and it's kind of famous in the state for its chicken fried steak. When I was working in the oil field, I had to go on this long run, doing pipeline work in upstate New York. And I was gone for several weeks in the middle of winter and it was freezing. So I finally got the call that I could come back home and I think we drove almost 30 hours straight. We drove straight through til we hit Texas and we landed in Strawn and went to Mary's Cafe and had a big chicken fried steak and I knew I was home. And we shot in Mary's Cafe this season. It was just surreal to be back in this cafe a little over 10 years later and to remember what my life was like then, almost freezing to death doing pipeline work. And now we're here with a camera crew and Sam Elliott and Billy Bob Thornton are sitting at a table having this conversation about life. And I did eat a chicken fried steak that day. So that's always a plus."
