"Very very steep start. Beautiful ridge trail, great views but quite the workout. Not for beginners "

"Distance: 4.7 miles / 7.6 km (roundtrip) Both Hawaiʻi Loa and Wiliwilinui Ridge Trails are great introductory hikes for Hawaiʻi ridge hiking. In my opinion, they are some of the easier ridges to reach the beautiful Koʻolau Summit, and the difficulty goes up quickly from these two. ⚠️ Parking for Wiliwilinui Ridge is located at the top of a private neighborhood. You will need to present your ID with the neighborhood security guard in order to obtain a parking pass. Know that they may turn hikers away if they’ve given out the maximum number of passes available or if you arrive too close to sunset. My best advice is to arrive at least two and a half hours before sunset and avoid weekends if you can. ⚠️ Don’t forget to leave your parking pass in your dashboard."

"(PRECIOSO) 4.5 miles. This ridge hike is not super long, but it’s steep, especially at the end, climbing more than a thousand feet to the top of the Koʻolau Mountain Range. The view is spectacular, an overlook of the entire Windwardside. The trailhead is located at the end of Okoa Street."
