"Melissani Cave is located in Kefalonia the largest Ionian Island (sometimes spelled as Cephalonia, North-western coast of Greece). Melissani Cave is just a bit less than a 10 minutes drive from Sami (an important port town). Melissani cave is also known as Melissani underground Lake, The entire visit lasts about 20 minutes or so (the boat part is less than 10 minutes), .but don’t let that discourage you from going on the tour, the sight is spectacular – the boats just seem to be floating in the air. Perfect rich blue colors all around. Melissani lake was the Cave of the Nymphs (it was the last stop of Odysseus’ journey in the Thirteenth Book of the Odyssey)."
