"Truly a Texas icon. Legend has it that President Lyndon B. Johnson would have Round Rock donuts shipped to the White House. It’s a story too insane to be true, but then you bite into one of these insanely tasty, fluffy pieces of warm dough and you think, “Huh, I believe it.” Round Rock donuts aren’t only distinct for their incredible taste, but for their orange color - locals will tell you it’s from farm fresh eggs, but don’t believe them. It’s almost certainly food coloring. It’s a testament to how good these donuts are that I don’t even care. The kolaches here are pretty damn good too. Oh, and they have a Texas donut that’s the size of a cake. Not sure how they fry that sucker."
