"Am I a real Minnesotan yet? Crossed this off the informal state bucket list on 6/19/2025 with my love. Took off our shoes and held them in our hands to cross the rocks through the busy headwaters. Hiked around a bit on the Schoolcraft Trail and the trail up to the museum and Wegmann’s store ruins. Would check out additional trails next time I go."

"There is a restaurant here but you have to have a pass to eat there. Walleye tacos, wild rice and chicken soup. Really reasonable prices. Wonderful view and lots to do in the park!"

Then, launch your own boat or rent kayaks and canoes right at the park. Sleep under the stars in the park’s campgrounds or enjoy the rustic historic architecture of Douglas Lodge."
