"Head up to the fourth floor of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where you will find some of the warmest and most fun hospitality around. The lack of travel has not stunted the team’s latest menu. Currently on their third volume, Adrian Besa and his team have created an ensemble of cocktails, most using some very advanced scientific equipment, which are all part of a narrative with origins throughout Asia. You could try the Lion’s Den of Guangzhou for an intro to baijiu with gin and green coffee. Or how about Thunder, inspired by Singapore thunder tea rice? It also has a fab Oyster Champagne evening that is great bang for buck. Some other favourite bites to go with those drinks are the tiger prawns, butter chicken and a mountain of tater tots. The view is pretty special too, just sit, drink and watch the world go by."

"Cocktail nerds have been known to geek out over the drink crafting equipment on MO Bar’s main bar area. Gear like Rotovap, sonic infusers and water baths not only yield delicious libations like Milky Way (whiskey, oolong and brown sugar), they also give bartenders a chance at a bit of show-and-tell with their guests. The fantastic view of the Marina Bay outside its expansive glass windows doesn’t hurt either."
