"Within walking distance of the town centre, the Church of the Good Shepherd is a very photogenic beautiful little chapel situated close to the shore of the lake. The Christian place of worship has become very sought-after by astro photographers, which probably has something to do with Tekapo having some of the best star viewing in the world. Be warned though, it’s very popular. If you want to get a good spot arrive early and be prepared to wait for your perfect shot. Be respectful too, after all, it is a house of a God. "La visite de l'église en pierres du Good Shepherd fait figure de grand classique. Située au bord du lac, celle-ci est toute proche de la Sheepdog Statue qui rend hommage au travail et à l'aide que le chien de berger apporte à l'homme dans cette région où domine l'élevage ovin."
