"The Steenberg Tasting Room is the wine-tasting venue at the Steenberg Wine Farm in Constantia, set in the cool-climate Constantia Valley about 20 minutes from central Cape Town. It belongs to the Cape's first farm, established in 1682, whose original Manor House has been lovingly restored and declared a Provincial Heritage Site, though the tasting space itself is contemporary, where you can settle in the contemporary wine-tasting room with its sculptural chandelier, in the comfortable wine lounge, or on the open-air terrace with views over water features and an indigenous sculpture garden. The estate is best known for its finest Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cap Classique, poured across a choice of guided tasting experiences. It sits within a larger destination that also holds a five-star hotel and spa, restaurants, and a golf course, so a tasting can easily fold into a longer visit."
