"This Michelin-starred Italian restaurant occupies an elegant space on the ground level of The Pearl apartment complex in Tampa Heights, featuring a spacious dining room with cozy mood lighting, hand-painted plates, paintings and greenery throughout, a visible wine cellar display, and a lively first-come-first-served bar area that buzzes with energy and invigorating music. Opened in 2019 by Chef Bryce Bonsack—who trained at multiple Michelin-starred restaurants in New York and studied traditional cooking in Monforte d'Alba, Italy—Rocca earned its Michelin star in 2023, becoming one of only three starred restaurants in Tampa Bay through its commitment to authentic Northern Italian cuisine. The restaurant is known for its handmade pasta dishes showcasing scrupulous technique (including the signature tagliatelle al ragù and spaghetti al limone with blue crab), theatrical tableside mozzarella pulled fresh to order from a rolling cart, dry-aged steaks and thoughtfully sourced proteins, and an extensive Italian wine list with knowledgeable sommeliers to guide selections. "A-Mazing Italian dinner! Get the Little Gem salad, table side mozzarella, bread, Agnolotti pasta, the lemon/crab/zucchini pasta. John got truffle and I thought it was ok, not worth the $75. My favorite was the lemon pasta!! Famous for the burnt cheesecake but it was sold out. Apparently you reserve it when u make reservation!"
