Les 16 chambres luxueuses vous feront vivre l'opulence de la Belle Epoque. Un décor magnifique pour un séjour inoubliable."

"1901 mansion. $900 per night. "

"This place is unbelievably special. If you love history, historic homes, nature, delicious farm to table food, and a feeling of stepping back into a quieter time- this is for you. You will enjoy biking, touring old historic ruins, reading on the veranda bed swing, watching the wild horses graze in the front lawn amongst centuries old trees with spanish moss swaying in the breeze, butterflies, honey bees etc... The beach was pristine and you feel like you step back in time the entire trip. An adorable picnic basket is packed for you daily to enjoy wherever and it was a delight to see what the menu was for each day. If you enjoy parties, your phone, and TV- this may not be the place for you. For those that said the Inn was old and tired were too set in their ways and must have missed what the Inn is entirely about. The Carnegie's built the homes on the island in the early 1900's; it is old and tired and that is even more charming. There are books in the library from 1895 and earlier, Tiffany lamps, and Carnegie portraits and furnishings throughout- like getting to live in a museum. For nature lovers and history buffs- you can't beat it. For party goers and spa lovers; stay away. Please note: Communications to the mainland are limited and it is requested that all phone calls be made before arrival on the island. Our telephone is a radio-phone and is available for emergencies only. In the event the phone must be used, a fee will be added to your bill. There are no stores on Cumberland. The Greyfield Inn Shop provides a limited selection of essentials including sunscreen, film, books, clothing, medications and insect repellent. "
