"Dans le quartier Saint-Alban, près des bords du Rhin, une auberge guinguette très avenante dans un décor charmant, proposant une cuisine surprenante bien servie. Une terrasse vers le fleuve en façade et une petite cour intérieure, joviale et intime, sur l'arrière. Excellente adresse."

"Menus 99 CHF and 129 CHF, à la carte 60 CHF HISTORICAL INN The story is ample. And beautiful. Because here, this inn that seems so peaceful has had a long life. It was once called "Zem swartzen Sternen" ("To the Black Stars", 1412). Passing travelers were offered drinks and food. It was among the thirteen addresses in the city that benefit from the right of tavern. There was then only one menu and three kinds of wines. In 1873, in a brushstroke, the destiny of the house changed, to become what it is today: "Zum Goldenen Sternen" ("To the Golden Stars"). But this is nothing compared to the great upheavals of 1964. The city of Basel then decided to extend the road to Aeschenvorstadt. The house is about to be demolished. The local aediles finally realize that it represents a real treasure with its Gothic dimension, its frescoes, paneling, ceilings, and all its history. This is how the house was dismantled stone by stone and rebuilt identically (1974) at the Dalbeloch, instead of the restaurant Letzistube, under the supervision of the preservation of monuments. Suffice it to say that today, this establishment seems to have no desire to move, breathes its happiness to still exist. Happiness reflected in a worry-free menu, according to the undulations of the moment, for a bourgeois and tourist clientele not guessing the singular history of this tavern, but rather dwelling on its garden of aromatic plants 12 meters long. Directed by Alexander Fläckel and Kujtim Zenuna), the pianote restaurant menu between hot salmon, with horseradish salad and hazelnuts, or quinoa salad with dried tomatoes, pine nuts and herbs from our garden; On the fondue side, we will opt for the star of the sea, salmon, tuna, sea bream and scallops, rice and vegetables, or for the organic seasonal vegetable fondue, parsnip and mushrooms, and its homemade sauce. Vegetarian dishes to complete the ambient well-being"
