"Cute village, looks like a ski resort, to stay at when going on a Banff trip "

"The rugged peaks of the Three Sisters and Ha Ling Peak cradle Canmore, the most beautiful town to visit in Alberta and an underrated and better alternative to Banff right in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Located along the Bow River, Canmore is more relaxed with fewer crowds, offering exquisite beauty and showcasing the allure of the Rockies. The nearby Grassi Lakes sit at an elevation of 5,000 feet, giving travelers the best views of Canmore. The hiking trail to the turquoise lakes (one of the best things to do in Canmore) traverses through dense forests and beautiful waterfalls."

"NIHANI RIDGE TRAIL: Such a pretty hike! Quite wild, you don’t see men development around. No real top, just a ridge. Left at 1:45, arrived back at the car at 5pm. LAKE LOUISE: summer 2020. left the house at 4:30 am, picked up Khrystyna, went to Rob’s and drove to Moraine to go to Larch Valley, but the parking was full (7:30) bc ppl go on sunrise hike. We wait by going to lake Louise. We return they had let the 20 cars in (they wait for 20 cars to go down then they bring 20 up) and we were like 1mn too late. We do a couple of fake uturns to pass by to see if it was open. By 9am we give up and go to lake Louise. We go to lake Agnes, up the little beehive, then back down to go to the big beehive (have to go around the lake). Great view but very busy. Didn’t have time to make it up devil’s thumb, Rob had to be back by 5pm. Go peter’s drive in on the way back and then went with Khrystyna to visit her sister, Slavko and the baby. It was such an amazing time chatting with them. I loved it! So happy Khrystyna invited me to go visit them ❤️BARRIER LAKE: quite nothing. Not worth at all. Just a small man-made reservoir with 1 or 2 mountains around. And you can hike like a small hill to get a small af view. Went with Khrystyna summer 2020 bc she didn’t want to do an actual hike. Her choice of endroit. Would never recommend it. POCATERRA RIDGE: Went with Marielle & papa. Did it in 5h30, Marielle stopped a lot at the beginning to take pictures. Gets pretty steep at times, but short. Really pretty view at the top of 1 side of the horizon, with mountains far away. Saw a lone wolf, not afraid of us at all. Came really close, totally ignored us, looking for a prey. Very thin. Ha Ling Peak: Sunset hike with Clau & papa summer 2020. Started the hike at 7:30pm and arrived at the car at 10:45pm. Pitch black. But pretty sunset at the top. Highly trafficked hike, wooden stairs and rock pathways & steps. The view at the top is not amazing, you see canmore and the road to get there, so not wild enough. Apparently there are lots of people at the top during the day. Picklejar lakes Did it on dad's birthday with the fam summer 2020. Not that great. Just like 3 lakes and no mountain top. Took like 2 hrs there but we were slow. Pretty far from Calgary. Arrived at 12h30 and left at 17h30, stopped for lunch at one of the lakes. There are some sauvage camping sites. Edworthy falls: Not worth. Mini ass falls, you can't even see the entrance it's hidden and not easy to reach, but super small. Went with Khrystyna, Savely and Rob summer 2020. Fun time though! Lots of talk about finance and life. We totally missed the hike entrance at first. East end rundle: did it in end of June 2019 with Khrystyna, Savely, Steven. Very steep, some climbing parts pn rocks which is fun, the view is okay, not that great, overlooking canmore. Not natury enough. Clau said we might not have been to the second top which is a nice view Baldy: Did it with Ryan & pilot we met on previous hike (Heartmountain with Irtiza, Ryan, and Justin). Best hike ever. Had to climb one part and if you fell you did. Lots of fun though! We all had scratched legs. Estimated 4-5hrs to do. 1h30 mns away from home (which is quite close). Heartmountain: Nice hike, not too difficult, climb on (flat) rocks at points which is fun. Close to Calgary (under 2hrs). Takes about 6hrs to do."
