"Curtis Falls and Lower Creek Circuit 1.7mi Length 288ft Elevation gain 0.5–1hr Estimated time Out & back This is a very popular, short, and relatively easy track that leads out to the beautiful Curtis Falls. Kids will love the enchanting walk to the falls, and the addition of the Lower Creek Circuit makes for an invigorating grade 3 walk through lush rainforest. The track takes you through a wet eucalypt forest beneath towering flooded gums, giving all visitors a true connection to the wild nature of Tamborine National Park. The falls can vary from a powerful and torrential pour to a serene and gentle flow over the ancient basalt columns. The Curtis Falls track can become quite crowded on nice days, so arriving early will help you avoid the crowds and secure parking. As with most rainforest walks, the track is often muddy, especially after rain. However, with proper footwear, this can make for the best experience, as the falls can really put on a show. Distance: 1.1km return Time: Allow about 30min walking time Details: This enchanting walk begins in wet eucalypt forest beneath towering flooded gums. Notice a drop in temperature as the wet eucalypt forest merges into lush rainforest. Beautiful crows nest and staghorn ferns can be seen in the canopy above. The rock pool and surrounding basalt rock face provide important glow-worm habitat."
