When the current owners took over in the late 70s they covered the round parts of the bee on the neon BAR sign leaving it to read EAR…and hence the official naming of the place. No sign To give the spot a more official title (and not having to do a lot of unnecessary work), the owners in 1970 just spray-painted the right-half of the ‘B’ on the neon “BAR” sign out front, giving the Ear Inn its name.  There’s live jazz every Sunday night from the house band, the Earregulars. "

"The Ear Inn is another one of New York City’s oldest bars which is located on Spring St. in Lower Manhattan. We are here to be the friend to tell you about this bar. Most people don’t think about going there unless their friend talks about it. It’s a great place to have a low key fun time and enjoy being able to drink out on the sidewalk. They also have a great food selection people rave about. (check out yelp for some pretty comical reviews!) Great for large groups!"

Installé dans le quartier de SoHo depuis 1870, ce petit pub n'a pas suivi la tendance du coin. On y vient pour se détendre et fuir le côté fashion over the top de SoHo. On sert de la Guinness et le barman fait de très bonnes margaritas. Cet endroit n'est pas fait pour les fêtards à la recherche de musique forte et de drague, mais conviendra parfaitement aux autres. Le samedi après-midi, lecture de poèmes. On se plongera dans une tristesse mélancolique, accentuée par les effluves de la bière. Rendez-vous les lundis, mercredis et dimanches pour des concerts de blues et de country dans une ambiance incroyable. L'Amérique profonde n'est plus très loin !"
