"Decked out with crimson walls and red-checkered tablecloths, this is the kind of place where diners feel like they’re in on a delicious secret—and that’s no coincidence, as the name is Italian for “between us.” Responsible for this gem's success is Chef/owner Marco Coletta, who runs the place with the precision of an air traffic controller and the passion of an Italian direttore. The sincerity of his cooking shines through in such delights as lasagna and pizzaiola—if it's not on the menu, don't panic, simply ask for it. Other high points include the ultra-light gnocchi di patate in a lamb ragù and trippa alla Romana with a side of bread for sauce sopping. Only a few desserts are on offer, but we recommend a classic finish by way of the ricotta cheesecake."
