Restaurant Samphire

"Style - Fine dining, date night spot, expensive. Service - Friendly, took our jackets when we arrived, had a bit of a laugh too. Food - Pretty disappointing. Beef tartar starter was way too heavy on the mustard to the point where I took one bite and didn't eat it. Pan fried sea bass for main was again disappointing, covered in black pepper which completely over powers the taste of the fish. Dessert was the only redeeming quality, Passionfruit souflet but not the best ive had in Jersey. Drinks were very hit or miss too, I had a smokey cocktail which genuinely tasted like I was trying ti shove a log down my throat, pretty vile. Margarita was ok. Atmosphere - Not what id expect for a pricey place like this, well lit but felt like a posh bar rather than an expensive restaurant, not for me. Price - Ludacris. Bill was over £350 for 2, small portions and lackluster food. Rating - 1.5/5, Wouldn't go back again unless I hear good reviews from someone I know with food recommendations. Way better spots for way cheaper."
