"Very few restaurants in SLC that do not disappoint and I can add Current to the list! Came for our anniversary and was greeted with a happy anniversary menu and friendly waiter. Let’s get to food: Apps: crab cake 9/10, calamari 10/10, broiled oysters 9/10 all very delicious, tender, fresh and seasoned impeccably. I would come back just to eat all the apps! Entrees: Scallops 9/10 loved this dish, scallops were tender they gave a big portion.. sauce was very ginger forward which I could do a little less of and the carrots were so good! .. Sea bass 9/10 the fish was cooked and seasoned so well! I loved the citrus sauce and my only complaint was the beans would do better pureed bc there was a lot of texture with the cabbage already. Whipped potatoes 11/10 SO GOOD buttery goodness highly recommend! Drinks & dessert: really enjoyed the Pinot we ordered and the orange wine was decent. For dessert we got affogato and it was perfect not too rich or sweet to end the meal feeling refreshed! We would’ve liked if they would have given us a little happy anniversary doodle on the dessert plate or something to make it feel more special. Service: our waiter Ehsan (sorry if I got it wrong) was kind, attentive and even helped giving us some of his fave spots in slc. Ambiance: not too formal nor casual with lots of windows."
