"Sandals Caribbean all-inclusive review — Mapstr title Bottom line: Sandals is one of the safest “easy button” choices for an adults-only Caribbean all-inclusive, especially for couples, honeymoons, anniversaries, and travelers who want a polished beach resort where most things are included. It is usually not the cheapest option, but it can be a good value if you will use the inclusions: multiple restaurants, drinks, airport transfers, water sports, entertainment, and in many resorts, included scuba for certified divers. Sandals lists 17 adults-only Caribbean resorts across Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Antigua, The Bahamas, Grenada, Barbados, Curaçao, and Saint Vincent. What Sandals does well Sandals is strong at couples-focused, adults-only, low-hassle vacations. The big appeal is that you can book the resort, fly in, get included airport transfers, and spend the week eating, drinking, swimming, relaxing, and doing light activities without much planning. Sandals says its inclusions can include unlimited food and drinks, up to 16 restaurants at some resorts, entertainment, water sports, snorkeling, and scuba-related offerings depending on the property. The better Sandals resorts also have a very polished “romantic Caribbean” feel: beachfront pools, swim-up bars, overwater bungalows at select properties, butler-level suites, fire pits, private pools, and good resort landscaping. Recent coverage of Sandals Saint Vincent, for example, highlights the newer resort’s beachfront setting, 12 restaurants, nine bars, pickleball, water sports, and mountain-backed location in Buccament Bay. Where Sandals can disappoint Sandals can feel expensive compared with other all-inclusives, especially if you book a basic room at a premium property and do not use many included activities. Some resorts are also noticeably better than others, so “Sandals” is not one uniform experience. The biggest thing to watch is room category creep. The headline price may look reasonable, but the rooms that feel special — beachfront, swim-up, private pool, club level, butler level, or overwater — can move the trip into true luxury pricing. Also, while the food is generally good for an all-inclusive, it is still resort dining; it may not match a top independent luxury hotel or a food-focused destination resort. Best Sandals resorts to consider Best overall first Sandals: Sandals Grande St. Lucian This is often considered one of the strongest all-around Sandals choices because of the beach setting, views, and classic Caribbean resort feel. It is a strong pick for a romantic first Sandals trip. Best newer/exotic-feeling option: Sandals Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Good for something newer, scenic, and less predictable than Jamaica or The Bahamas. The setting looks more dramatic, with mountains and a more nature-forward island feel. Best for easy flights and convenience: Sandals Montego Bay / Sandals Royal Caribbean, Jamaica These are convenient because they are close to Montego Bay airport. Sandals’ own listing notes Royal Caribbean is about a short transfer from the airport, which matters if you dislike long post-flight drives. Best for lively/social: Sandals Ochi or Sandals Royal Curaçao Sandals itself highlights Ochi and Royal Curaçao among its livelier resorts, so I’d look there if you want more energy, bars, and social atmosphere. Best for polished romance: Sandals Grenada or Sandals Grande Antigua These are good candidates if you want a prettier, more romantic, less mega-resort feel. Who Sandals is best for Sandals is a good fit if you want: Traveler type Fit Couples trip Excellent Honeymoon / anniversary Excellent Adults-only beach vacation Excellent Easy all-inclusive with minimal planning Excellent Scuba / snorkeling / water-sports user Very good Foodie trip Good, not elite Quiet luxury retreat Depends heavily on resort and room Family trip No — look at Beaches Resorts instead Budget all-inclusive Usually not the best value Cost expectation For two adults, I would generally think in these ranges: Trip style 7-night estimate for 2, before flights Entry-level room, lower-cost Sandals $3,500–$5,500 Good room at a strong property $5,500–$8,500 Club / beachfront / swim-up $7,000–$11,000+ Butler / private pool / overwater $10,000–$20,000+ Sandals frequently runs promotions, including savings, air credits, and longer-stay discounts, so the real price can swing a lot by resort and travel date. My take for you For your style, I would not pick Sandals just because it is famous. I would pick it only if you want a very easy adults-only Caribbean beach week with good service, lots included, and a romantic resort environment. My shortlist would be: 1. Sandals Grande St. Lucian — best classic first Sandals choice 2. Sandals Saint Vincent — most interesting/newer nature-forward option 3. Sandals Grenada — romantic and polished 4. Sandals Royal Curaçao — more modern and social 5. Sandals Royal Caribbean — convenient Jamaica option with a classic feel Best booking strategy: choose the island first, then compare the room categories carefully. At Sandals, the difference between “fine” and “memorable” is often the room category. Mapstr tags: #AdultsOnly #AllInclusive #CaribbeanResort #CouplesTrip #BeachVacation"
