"the best local spot for fresh fish. Transports you to Europe. Feel free to walk in, but be prepared to wait a little (you can drink wine while you wait) I order: all of the fish is obviously at the top of the list, but do not underestimate the burger. "

"When you picture LA, maybe you think of traffic and celebrities wearing sunglasses inside. Here’s a better image: you, the beach, wine, oysters, and Dudley Market’s glam, beefy monster of a burger. Say hello to our favorite fancy restaurant burger in Los Angeles—a perfectly pink patty stacked with cheddar cheese, dill aioli, arugula, and caramelized onion-bacon jam, all on a brioche bun. It’s sweet and savory, briny and peppery, and something you’ll remember long after you’re finished. Not only is it the best burger in town, but it’s one to eat when you want to lean into the LA-ness of it all. "

"In love with the burger and scallops. My waiter told me to get the shrimp quesadilla but I ordered more scallops instead, was totally side eyeing me after. (Cute af staff and art) "

"If you think the Venice boardwalk is a living nightmare, then you'll be surprised that this neighborhood gem exists just steps away from the main thoroughfare. With string lights strung up above the sidewalk patio area, Dudley Market is like the Westside version of Virgil Village's Melody: a stylish, low-key spot with natural wine, freshly shucked oysters and plenty of well-dressed patrons. Unlike the Silver Lake-adjacent wine bar, however, the day-to-day menu focuses on sustainable seafood and bar bites, from delicious crudos to an excellent house burger. While we wouldn't go out of our way to eat here, it's a great option for locals looking for a nicer meal and visitors looking for a respite from overpriced tourist traps."

"OMGGGGGG BEST POISSON IN TOWN !! ils vont pêcher eux-mêmes, le vin est très bon !! Je recommande à 400% « blue fin tuna tostada » & « shrimp quesadilla », les huîtres sont très bonnes et shrimp tacos aussi ! Brussels sprouts grillés bons et fish tacos aussi mais pas le best de la carte Crudo un peu inintéressants meme si le poisson est mashallux "

"Infatuation : if some of the things you know about French food are that it’s typically rich, and it’s sometimes expensive, then you already know a lot about Pasjoli. Both of those are true at this Santa Monica spot, but that doesn’t stop us from going when we want incredible French food prepared with traditional techniques. That includes a lot of things happening tableside, like canard à la presse - a pressed duck, prepared on a little cart wheeled to your table, then juiced in an antique contraption that could be a 15th-century torture device. It’s an experience that will transform any seal-the-deal date into a home run - and not just because it results in an excellent-tasting duck."

"Dudley Market is a fun, crowded spot a block from the beach, and a meal here makes you feel like you’ve joined a secret club of sommelier surfers who also know a lot about rod-and-reel fishing. Most of the seafood they serve is caught on the restaurant-owned boat, so if it’s on the menu today, there’s a good chance it was swimming in the ocean that morning. The bluefin tataki, clam and pork toast, and whole-fried fish are all some of our favorites, but the decidedly not-from-the-ocean hamburger with bacon-onion jam is our favorite burger in the city."

"Venice’s Dudley Market catches most of the seafood they serve on their own fishing boat. That’s a little bit tougher with oysters, but the shellfish are still sourced locally from Morro Bay. They come with a really good champagne mignonette, and go great with their massive list of natural wines. This place is bright and airy, and remains shockingly tourist-free for how close it is to the beach (if you’re sitting in the right seat, you can see the water). They’ve also got some of the friendliest staff around. Say hello to our absolute favorite burger in Los Angeles right now. A perfectly-cooked Wagyu beef patty, cheddar cheese, dill aioli, fresh arugula, and a caramelized onion-bacon jam on a brioche bun - Dudley’s burger is special. It’s sweet and savory, briny and peppery, and something you’ll want to remember forever. You should absolutely come to this neighborhood Venice spot for the fresh seafood, but if you skip the burger, you’re living a lesser existence. "Infatuation new list. Venice is always in need of more great, low-key neighborhood restaurants - and Dudley Market is back to fill that void. This iconic seafood spot, which had closed in 2017, is less than a block from the Boardwalk, and despite that, somehow remains tourist-free. It’s a fantastic place to just have oysters and some natural wine, but if that’s all you do, you’ll be missing out on the full menu of excellent seafood caught that day. Don’t leave without getting the pork belly and clam toast, and if it’s on the menu, you need to order the rockfish - an excellent whole-fried fish with sambal. The servers will treat you like you’ve lived next to them on the Canals for 15 years, and the sommelier might come by with another glass of wine he thinks you’d enjoy, just because."
