The ship was for many years placed outside the Cape Fear of North Carolina, where it survived many violent storms, before it eventually sank after some years at the bottom of the ocean, it was salvaged - and is now a great place to sit and drink beer on a warm afternoon or evening, while enjoying the amazing views of the river. The interior of the ship is still rusty as a memento of its years as a wreck Pier 66a (at w26th) "
