"After chef Brian Howard departed Cosmopolitan's Comme Ca, there were rumors he was looking into creating his own restaurant. In fact, his Sparrow + Wolf, which he opened on Spring Mountain Road in 2017, was the culmination of a lot of thinking about what he wanted to accomplish culinarily—but wasn't his first choice of location. After two Downtown locations didn't work out, he turned to the city's Chinatown corridor as a third choice—a location he later called a "no-brainer," not only because of its status in Las Vegas as a food destination, but also because he was on the cusp of its diversification. The exterior (like every building on Spring Mountains Road) is decidedly strip mall, but inside, around its big centerpiece kitchen, it's warm and buzzy. The space is narrow, but rather than make it feel cramped, it adds to excitement of packing into this space to try the food."
