"9.8/10 Modern Asian fusion restaurant opened by an ex-MasterChef runner up. Always booked out weeks in advance particularly for dinner bookings Visited on 9th December 2021 with Auntie Robin and Uncle David for my 21st at lunch time. Ordered for the table turmeric school prawns, prawn toast, kingfish sashimi, chargrilled chicken, salmon red curry, dry spiced Bangalore pork, roti. Also shared lime syrup cake and dragonfruit granita, and Purple Drink cocktail. Meals Turmeric school prawns: excellent starter, nice and small and crunchy with really funky spice rub Prawn toast: not your average prawn toast - the sheer amount of prawn was incredible as was the spicy mayo Kingfish sashimi: sliced really thin with lovely citrus sauce, very good but definitely overshadowed by how amazing everything else was Chargrilled chicken: delicious juicy chicken with crispy spicy skin, best satay sauce I’ve had the fortune of trying and the chilli relish was soo good that it was worth the incredible spice Salmon red curry: salmon itself was just ok but the curry sauce I ended up eating by the spoonful Bangalow pork: another stupidly good curry sauce, the apple elevated the whole thing Roti: somehow the highlight of the whole menu - light and crispy and delicious, perfect for soaking up all the curry spices Like syrup cake: definitely the better of the desserts, moist cake and sweet sticky flavours with only a hint of ginger Dragonfruit granita: a bit of a let down because the granita had a very mild flavour but was the main component, would have benefited from the lot more mousse to give it some taste Drinks Purple Drink: really spectacular purple colour from the ube, overall unusual but yummy flavour"
