It is actually a rocky tidal island. The rock is a part of the “Morro Rock State Preserve” thus Climbing the rock or disturbing the birds around it is not allowed."

"Circa 12 miglia (19 km) a nordovest di San Luis Obispo passando dalla Hwy 1 si incon tra Morro Bay, una cittadina di pescatori sul mare nota per la Morro Rock, un picco vulcanico che spunta dal fondo dell’oceano offrendo un primo assaggio del paesaggio spettacolare che vi attende (se non fate caso alle ciminiere della centrale elettrica)"
