"Haunted hotel? Located in the Ozark Mountains, the 1886 Crescent Hotel & Spa is a historical landmark with a dark past. It’s one of the most haunted hotels in the USA that promises a unique overnight experience. Built in 1886, the hotel was once a fraudulent cancer hospital, run by a charlatan doctor who preyed on the sick and desperate. Today, it stands as a testament to the past, but it's also said to be home to a number of restless spirits. Guests and paranormal investigators alike have reported numerous ghostly encounters at the hotel. The ghost of a nurse pushing a gurney is said to roam the halls, while the spirit of a former patient is believed to haunt the hotel's basement. And then there's Room 218, a particularly notorious room said to be haunted by the spirit of a stonemason who died during the hotel's construction."
