"Best time for photos: This location works perfectly before sunrise and from late afternoon to evening. Season: Entire year Tips for location This location has three main subjects in composition: the two peaks Julier (on the right, 3380m) and Albana (left one, 3100m) and the surface of the lake. The two peaks, even in winter, catch the first rays, so be prepared for a nice orange glow. On the other hand, sunsets in this location are not compelling. Only late December allows for capturing the sun low on the horizon, almost in the middle of the valley. The photo walk starts at the bridge on the River Inn, just next to the Waldhaus Hotel. From here, walk along the path leading to Lei da Staz (Staz Lake). A walk to these two lakes is typical for sunrise shooting - there is no better way to reach Lei da Staz than from here. Apart from the afore-mentioned Grand Tour sign (1, 3, map), the lake has two good spots. The first one is just before the signpost pointing to Lei da Staz (1), and the second is on a meadow in front of a large farm (5, map). All within 5 min walk."
