It’s a high-end, design-heavy beachfront resort in San José del Cabo, rather than the busier Cabo San Lucas area. One particularly important detail right now: the resort is undergoing a reimagining and is scheduled to reopen September 14, 2026. Viceroy is advertising reopening packages with up to 30% off and resort credits on qualifying stays. Price-wise, it is firmly luxury territory. As a current reference point, Expedia was showing roughly $466 total for one night for two people on September 15, although rates swing dramatically with season and room category. Higher-end suites and residences can run well into four figures per night. The major caveat is the ocean. This is the Sea of Cortez beachfront, but Cabo beaches can have significant surf and currents. I would choose Viceroy primarily for the resort, pools, architecture, restaurants and ocean views—not because you’re looking for a classic calm-water swimming beach. For you, I’d rate it about 9/10 as a luxury Cabo resort. I’d put it especially high if you want someplace visually spectacular and relaxing but still close enough to a real town that you can get off-property. It is much more distinctive than the typical sprawling Cabo resort. And since the TikTok URL specifically tagged Viceroy Los Cabos, that’s almost certainly the property you’re seeing in the video. If you’re considering an actual trip, I can compare Viceroy vs. Waldorf Astoria Pedregal vs. One&Only Palmilla vs. Zadún vs. Grand Velas—that’s the comparison I’d want before spending this kind of money. Not by default. Viceroy Los Cabos is officially not a traditional all-inclusive resort. But they do offer an optional “Viceroy Unlimited Luxury Experience” package that effectively turns the stay into an all-inclusive. It includes: * Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the resort restaurants * House beer, wine by the glass, and selected cocktails * Some minibar benefits * The room itself One important limitation: the current offer says room service and minibar receive a 25% discount rather than being fully included, so it isn’t quite as unrestricted as a Sandals/Secrets-style all-inclusive. So if you liked what you saw in that TikTok, yes, you can book Viceroy Los Cabos essentially all-inclusive—you just need to select the Unlimited Luxury Experience rate rather than a normal room rate.
