"Tanzania Visa is ~50$. Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest peak (5895m) and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. It takes between five and tens days to hike depending on the route and the pace of the itinerary. ~1500$. The ascent of Kilimanjaro can be done from seven Kilimanjaro routes: Mweka route, Umbwe route, Shira route, Rongai route, Machame route, Northern circuit route, and the Marangu Route which is the easier one. Depending on which route one wants to take, the climb of Kilimanjaro can take between four to six nights on the mountain. The two most popular routes are the Marangu route (Claudio did this one, 6 days, 5 nights, entrance fee 70$x6 days, accommodation 60$x5 days and rescue fee 20$ + 18%VAT = 875$ + cost and tips for the guides) and the Machame route (High success rate). On the Marangu Route, accommodation is in alpine huts while on Machame Route it is camping throughout. https://www.africanaturaltours.com/kilimanjaro-climbing-routes.html. Best time between mid June and October. Avoid April to mid June. Kilimanjaro Express might be suggested"
