"Stopped for a quick restroom break and ended up grabbing some snacks. The line was backed up for a while, and I got to talking with a couple of elderly women about unclean rooms and how people don’t want to work these days. I chimed in that I’m part of that generation, I said what really matters is a person with drive and getting competitive pay in return. Then we talked a bit about where I’m from and that I’m traveling down the parkway. Finally my turn came up to check out… only to realize I was in the wrong line. So I waited again in the other line and when the hostess was nowhere to be found I said, “At this rate I might end up having to stay the night here.” Got a good laugh out of everyone. A minute later, one of the women from the first line offered to pay for my snacks so I could get back on the road. I didn’t know what do say back so I just asked if I could give her a hug. She smiled, and they both wished me the best. I told them they’ve got me smiling now too"
