"Dates from 1430 Okay, so the current building is a replica built in 1920, but a pub has been standing here for almost six hundred years, so it’s still one of the oldest pubs in London. The Samuel Smith Brewery owns and operates this place, so you won’t get as much variety here. Having said that, the lower prices make up for it, and the Taddy lager is a crowdpleaser. Plus, it’s an absolutely cavernous place, perfect for groups or those who like to get lost in the fold!"

"Le Cittie of Yorke n’est pas aussi ancien que peuvent le suggérer ses murs inclinés et ses plafonds en bois voûtés. Une large sélection de boissons y est à découvrir. Le choix de bières britanniques est fantastique, pour le plaisir des yeux comme des gosiers les plus secs. L’intérieur ancien attire quant à lui tous les regards."

"This boozer by Chancery Lane station was built in the 1920s, and you get the sense that not much has changed in that time. The interior is fitted with wonderful dark panelled booths and a long, sweeping bar, all lovingly maintained. There’s a decent enough food menu on offer, too. Some say it’s a no-frills kind of place, but when the surroundings look like this, who needs frills?"
