"Right across the street from the lush greenery of upper Central Park, El Musco del Barrio has a thythm all its own. This lively museum's mission is to show and preserve the art and culture of Puerto Ricans and other Latin Americans in the United States. Be it art, music, performance, or film, Latino culture is celebrated here in great style. The museum's roots trace back to 1969, when parents wanted to educate their children about their diverse cultural heritage."
