"1 Michelin star 2024 Coming off the street that dissects the village, you head down almost as far as the lakeshore to this restaurant situated in the luxury I Sereno hotel, an elegant and brand-new property designed by the inventive architect di Patricia Urquiola. In summer, meals are served on the arched terrace, where the view takes in the blue waters of the lake and the small villages on the opposite shore. The superb creative skills of the brilliant Neapolitan chef are expressed with consummate ease and balance in many different types of cuisine, including regional specialities, vegan options, Asian-influenced dishes, the occasional nod to Lombardy and fish from the lake. "Inside the 5-star hotel “Il Sereno” it is possible to sit at the table of the “Berton al Lago” restaurant, one Michelin star, born from the collaboration of the well-known chef Andrea Berton with chef Raffaele Lenzi. The terrace and the lakefront view of the refined restaurant are worth a visit on their own. The interiors, designed by Patricia Urquiola in a contemporary style, are also unique. For lunch, an à la carte menu is offered with typical specialties of the various Italian regions. For dinner, you can choose from four elaborate tasting menus consisting of several courses, paired with the best wines of the region. In fact, the two chefs demonstrate all their talent with four tasting menus: “Classici”, based on lake fish; “Contrasts”, with an alternation of bright and soft flavors; “Vegetables, tubers, and roots”, entirely vegetable; “Trust”, consisting of 9 courses chosen by the chef. On the menu, there are several recipes representative of the Italian culinary tradition, some in the traditional version, others in the local one, such as the eggplant “Parmigiana” or the “Plin” stuffed with lake fish, oil, and sage."
