"Try the haggis here or at Babbity Bowster it's the same owner. Rab Ha', formally known as Robert Hall, wasn't dubbed the Glasgow Glutton for nothing. Known for his seemingly endless appetite, Ha' quite literally ate his way out of house and home and once gave Desperate Dan a run for his money by devouring an entire cow pie in a single sitting. Kicked out by his mother on account of his costly eating habits, he decided at a young age that traditional labour was not for him and spent much of his adult years as a beggar. But Rab Ha' was far from being penniless - he kept his wallet flush and stomach full by accepting wagers in eating competitions. In one such event, Rab ate an entire calf in a pie eating contest at the Saracen Head in the Gallowgate. His English competitor, known as the Yorkshire Pudding, didn't stand a chance."
