"The mountain hotel Schafbergspitze” is located on top of Schafberg Mountain (1783 meters), Salzburg state, Austria. Schafbergspitze Hotel looks a bit like the Swiss hotel -“Rigi Kulm Hotel“, but surly Schafbergspitze Hotel is closer to the edge of the mountain. Schafbergspitze Hotel is offering a great view of the Salzkammergut mountains and the lakes around. it was built in 1862 by Wolfgang Grömmer, Since 1966, the Hotel is run as a family business. The room prices are not too expensive and an overnight stay including breakfast is just 48 Euros (about 65$), be sure to take cash with you because the hotel do not accept credit cards. In the summer time, there is a rack railway available (named Schafbergbahn) which starts from St. Wolfgang and goes all the way to the summit. Here is a link to the hotel’s site."

"Cet hôtel-restaurant extraordinaire, qui existe depuis 1862, est perché en haut d'un précipice de 1 780 m de dénivelé ! Un cauchemar pour ceux qui ont le vertige. Les chambres sont proprettes. La vue sur les Alpes est fantastique. Pour s'y rendre, emprunter le funiculaire du Schafberg. Des forfaits trajet-nuit d'hôtel adoucissent la note."
