"Atomic liqours - 8/10- the actual bar is split into 2 sections. The "original" bar which has a dark, seedy, grungey vibe to it which is cool. They make great cocktails and have an extensive craft beer list. I had a Manhattan while sitting inside and could tell the bartender took her time making it and to ensure it was made well. I then moved outside and outside is a newly renovated patio/ outdoor kitchen/bar which fits the trendy "new Vegas" vibe. Both inside and out are great. I had the "tumbler snapper" tiki cocktail while sitting outside and it was "ok", too sweet and wasn't my favorite drink (drink probably gets a 5/10) so overall this whole experience is an 8/10 instead of a 9. If you're with a group of people, definitely go as it has a nice large outdoor patio "beer garden" space and my Manhattan was great so I assume most drinks here are generally great. You kind of get 2 experiences here which is cool. The photos online don't do the bar justice so definitively don't base your decision on going from anything you see online. It's much better than that."

"Vegas’ oldest freestanding bar, named for a time when customers watched atomic blasts from the roof, was originally built in 1945 and was originally called Virginia's Cafe. The Rat Pack and the Smothers Brothers drank here after their nightly shows, and Barbra Streisand even had her own seat at the bar. Sour beers are a specialty here, but consider this one of the best places to go when any kind of beer is needed."

". They lit up the now-famous neon, got themselves the very first Las Vegas Tavern License, and were on the road to becoming the oldest free-standing bar in town. At first Atomic Liquors was just a package store, selling beer, wine and the hard stuff on a take-out basis. But with the newly-minted tavern license, mix drinks could be served alongside the stuff going out the door in paper bags, and it became a 24 hour a day business. Rooftop service was added so customers could tipple a few “Atomic cocktails” while watching the blasts 65 miles to the north (it being a time before the dangers of observing nuclear testing was understood)."
