"Three houses are part of the Kennedy Compound: the first was acquired by Joseph Kennedy in 1928. For years, the Kennedy siblings spent all their summers there. In 1956, JFK bought a house near his father's and, three years later, Ted Kennedy decided to acquire a third home nearby. They are equipped with the typical architecture of Cape Cod, with their white facade and grey roof. Two of the houses are still occupied by members of the Kennedys, and the third is owned by the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United State Senate."
