"CN Readers’ Choice 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022 Michelin mention 2024 4* | 89 rooms, from $450pn It’s been a journey for the Spanish Colonial gem that is the Colony Palms Hotel. Founded in 1936 by the (alleged) mobster Al Wertheimer, it became a favorite of the Hollywood in-crowd before they eventually decamped for more distant destinations. But now, a couple of name changes later, the refurbished and redesigned Colony Palms is once again a luxe and stylish destination, one that consciously recalls the glamour of the golden age of Hollywood — and Palm Springs — even as it attracts a new generation of boutique-hotel travelers. The rooms and suites are decorated in an elegant, contemporary style, with echoes of the Art Deco style that was current at the time of the hotel’s original heyday. They’ve also got all the modern-luxe trimmings, from Nespresso machines, pillow-top mattresses, and down duvets to marble-clad bathrooms stocked with Le Labo bath products. For extra space and privacy (and a hot tub on the patio) book one of the bungalows, and for more, book the hotel’s crown jewel, the Hermann Residence. There’s a pool and a spa, the former a 65-foot salt-water affair, the latter decorated in verdant, calming greens. And the hotel’s restaurant, the Colony Club, is more than a hotel kitchen — it’s an upscale Mediterranean fixture on the Palm Springs dining scene, serving inventive modern dishes paired with wines from California and around the world."

"Hôtel trop beau reco @sisterlystyle Plusieurs restos dont un au bord de la piscine (Swiftys) qui est la reprise d’un resto qui était connu dans l’upper easy side à NYC et qui a fermé "

"Stepping into The Colony feels a bit like walking onto a Palm Beach movie set: pink stucco, retro-tropical prints, a mischievous monkey mascot, and service that’s somehow both polished and genuinely warm. Opened in 1947 and long a favorite of high-society regulars, the hotel has evolved into a storybook clubhouse and true social hub for Palm Beach, with a constant swirl of trunk shows, pop-ups, parties, and a famously spirited trivia night at Swifty’s that draws locals and guests alike. Since acquiring the property in 2016, owners Sarah and Andrew Wetenhall have led a thoughtful restoration with Kemble Interiors, reviving the landmark’s bones while keeping its delightfully quirky soul intact. Guest rooms and suites follow three playful palettes—green, blue, or pink—with scalloped headboards, patterned drapery, hand-painted details, and just enough whimsy to feel transporting without tipping into theme-park. For longer stays, the Residences (villas, bungalows, and penthouses) offer more space and distinct personalities, and you can experience the full goop universe in our serene two-bedroom villa, designed with New York firm Ronen Lev. The Colony’s “welcome home” mantra really comes through in the details: a spa powered by Naturopathica, staff who somehow remember your drink order, and the beloved Beach Butler service—a pink golf cart whisking you to a tailored beach setup with chairs, umbrellas, a cooler of cold drinks, and plenty of Palm Beach lore. Back at the hotel, complimentary pink cruisers are on standby for rides down Worth Avenue or along the Lake Trail, and you can swing by the on-property Pop Up Bagels outpost en route. Perfectly positioned between the beach and Worth Avenue, The Colony feels less like a hotel stay and more like stepping into an immersive, gently glamorous Palm Beach fantasy."
