"Pizzeria Ae Oche is the best pizza Venice has to offer, in my opinion (I have Italian friends who have other opinions, but they are wrong). I eat there routinely sometimes more than once a day (but always the same thing: either a pizza with peppers and pesto on it or a pizza with arugula and walnuts—rucola e noci--on it). While they don't reach the heights achieved elsewhere in Italy (wood-burning ovens aren't allowed on Venice), they are really superb. For dessert, try a sgroppino (plural, sgroppini pronounced sk-rope-eeeney), which is blended lemon sorbet, cream,and a dash of vodka. It is located on Calle del Tintor, in Santa Croce, near Campo San Giacomo del Orio and Campo San Polo (directions below secretly hidden in sightseeing)."
