"Ce deli ( sorte d'épicerie avec bar à sandwiches créé par les immigrés juifs) est l'un des lieux traditionnels de Philadelphie depuis 1923. On y sert des plats traditionnels de la cuisine juive de l'Europe de l'Est ( goulash) et surtout les célèbres sandwiches au pastrami servis avec du c oleslaw (salade de choux) ou des pommes de terre. Authentique et à tester. Pour l'anecdote, une scène du film Philadelphia a été tournée ici. L'endroit est fréquenté par les hommes politiques américains depuis des décennies. Al Gore y a mangé en 2000 et Barack Obama en 2012, alors qu'il était président."

"Bib Gourmand 2025 The Famous 4th Street Delicatessen, a Philly institution since 1923, sits on the corner of 4th and Bainbridge Streets in Queen Village. Long known for its towering corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, the menu is a treasure trove of beloved Jewish deli classics, starting with a lineup of hefty sandwiches like Reubens, roast beef and pastrami, each served with a choice of sides like potato salad, chips or a potato pancake. It also stretches into appetizers, salads, soups, cheesesteaks, traditional dinners, smoked fish and a full breakfast spread. Everything is made with a sense of pride; the meat is generously portioned, well-seasoned and tender, and the sandwiches are stacked with care."

"Mountains of everything — from the city's best piled-high meats to absurdly large portions of chocolate babka French toast, which you must try — are sort of a thing at this Queen Village institution, where sandwiches are offered in two sizes — regular and zaftig. Famous Fourth Street Deli is two blocks from South Street, give or take, and of course, there's a pastrami cheesesteak, like you had to ask."
