"You should reconsider your opposition to wineries. The wine country on Long island is gorgeous and we have some great wines. Plus theyre worth going to for the scenery alone! Kontakosta is right outside greenport town and had gorgeous views. I saw someone else recommend Brix and Rye, that's definitely a can't-miss in my opinion, 1943 does have great food as well. There's a tiny shuck your own oysters place (they'll teach you or do it for you if it isn't your thing) down by Claudio's. It's awesome most of the seating is outside, they serve beer and wine. I also love to just walk around the streets surrounding all the shops and restaurants because the old houses are gorgeous. Enjoy your stay!!"
