"Toller, aber nicht gerade leicht zugänglicher Strand!"

"https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/301184900596962/slaughterhouse-beach/ Highlights A more delightful beach than the name implies Fish count on a good day can be incredibly high Awesome morning views of Moloka‘i Ooh, doesn’t that sound inviting? The Hawaiian name is Mokule‘ia Bay (which itself is often misspelled as Makuleia). This beach gets its commonly used name from a long-gone slaughterhouse that used to be above the cliffs. This relatively small pocket beach has lots of sand in the summer, which can almost disappear during winter surf. The snorkeling to the right can be good, especially around the point to the right, but the beach is subject to water-clouding runoff from an intermittent stream to the left (southwest). There’s some shade in the mornings, but none in the afternoon, and the beach is partially protected from afternoon winds. The morning views of Moloka‘i are stunning; you won’t see more detail from anywhere else on Maui. Slaughterhouse on a good day is definitely A Real Gem and can have a very high fish count. Located 0.7 miles north of mile marker 31 on Hwy 30 (you probably won’t see the incorrectly placed mile marker 32). Access to the beach, 100 feet below the road, is via a concrete stairway. How Crowded Not usually too crowded (on weekdays) How's the access Pretty easy access with short walk Parking Not easy to come by"
